a web app that lets Canadian couples build their own prenuptial and cohabitation agreements through a guided questionnaire, with a live document preview, partner collaboration, and document download.

what i built

01

live document preview

As a couple answers the questionnaire, the full legal agreement regenerates beside the form in real time. I built the rendering runtime that resolves each clause's conditional logic against the current answers — evaluating flags, computed values, and per-clause conditions — so the document always reflects exactly what's been entered, down to the last keystroke.

02

real-time partner collaboration

Both partners work on the same agreement from separate accounts. I designed the shared, party-scoped data model so each partner sees the other's answers, can propose changes, and approves the final document — keeping a single source of truth without letting either party overwrite the other.

03

property disclosure & dependants

Each partner privately discloses their assets — real estate, bank and investment accounts, vehicles, and personal property — and their dependants, all of which feed straight into the agreement's schedules. I built the disclosure system as a reusable, per-person container of typed items, with category cards and item modals shared across every asset and dependant type, so a partner's disclosures persist and populate whichever agreement they're working on.

04

guided, branching questionnaire

The questionnaire and document adapts to each couple — questions appear, change, and reword themselves based on prior answers and province. I built the admin editor that authors these questions and their conditional logic, plus the answer-type system (multi-select, numeric, conditional sentences) that drives both the flow and the generated clauses.

responsive on every screen

Every page is built to adapt down to a phone or a resized desktop window.
